Chartered Financial Planner

Kevin Barnes has worked in financial services since 1983 and has been an independent financial adviser since 1994.  He was one of the first advisors to achieve Chartered Financial Planner status following its introduction in 2005.  The combination of experience and qualifications has enabled him to provide well balanced bespoke solutions for clients.

Clients have commented positively on Kevin’s friendly yet professional approach, and the way in which he uses his knowledge and experience to guide them through recommendations in a detailed yet understandable way.

Kevin has lived in Dawlish since 1990 and has gained experience within a variety of small and large firms.  It is within smaller firms that he has enjoyed the most career satisfaction as they provide greater freedom to treat clients as individuals.  Legislative changes within the industry have meant that many firms have adopted a uniform “one size fits all” approach. These changes have also lead to higher costs which have ultimately  been borne by clients.  Kevin decided in 2012 that forming his own firm would provide the greatest opportunity to continue to provide a highly professional and bespoke service to clients at a reasonable cost. Over a decade later this has proven to be the case.
